Senior Scientific Data Engineer (Germany, Remote)

Descriere

  • Serve as a forward-deployed engineer for biotech, pharmaceutical, and scientific customers.
  • Manage technical relationships, learn customers’ scientific workflows, and deliver solutions that advance their programs.
  • Build two-way integrations between Tetra OS and customer systems, including ELN, LIMS, MES, and process historians.
  • Develop serverless data pipelines, stateful connectors, and full-stack applications using Python and TypeScript.
  • Create data schemas and parsers for scientific information from laboratory, manufacturing, CRO, CDMO, ELN, and LIMS sources.
  • Deploy and test solutions in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across the full stack.
  • Work with product managers, solution architects, business analysts, data architects, and ML engineers.
  • Develop and uphold designs backed by comprehensive automated testing.
  • Drive process and technology improvements in product quality, developer experience, and platform capabilities.
  • Help the team meet Agile sprint commitments and address inefficiencies.
  • Clear blockers and ambiguous requirements with practical urgency.
  • Guide junior scientific data engineers and provide technical leadership.

Cerințe

  • Experience building data products as a data engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills focused on data, integrations, and scientific applications.
  • Advanced Python expertise and working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
  • Track record leading customer-facing implementation projects across teams, including requirements, timelines, and delivery milestones.
  • Experience with non-clinical data and laboratory scientists.
  • Knowledge of the biotech and pharmaceutical industries and regulated settings such as GxP.
  • Familiarity with networking, CI/CD, and full-stack development.
  • Experience with AWS cloud engineering, including services such as S3, Lambda, ECS, SQS, SNS, EC2, and CloudWatch.
  • Strong communication and attention to detail, with the confidence to take charge of project delivery.
  • Ability to quickly learn a highly technical product and communicate effectively with customers, product management, and engineering leadership.
