Contracts Specialist

Review agreements, manage contract records, and maintain templates at Avicado, a construction technology consultancy. Support contract operations across client, vendor, software, and IT agreements.

Descriere

  • Review client, partner, vendor, and IT contracts, amendments, and RFPs as the initial reviewer.
  • Assess material risks and potential costs, recommend responses, and draft redlines within approved positions.
  • Coordinate contract redlines and approvals with Sales and leadership.
  • Escalate contract terms that fall outside standard positions.
  • Advise internal teams on software and IT agreement risks and client security questionnaires.
  • Manage insurance requirements, coordinate annual renewals with the broker, and provide backup for certificates of insurance requests.
  • Build and maintain the central contracts database.
  • Store contracts with accurate key dates, terms, and obligations.
  • Record contract renewal, notice, and termination provisions.
  • Manage agreement terminations and ensure teams complete the required steps.
  • Expand database coverage so teams can find contract terms and obligations without reopening agreements.
  • Maintain contract templates and revise them based on Legal team feedback and approval.
  • Run the template change request process and communicate request status.
  • Keep one current version of each template available and prevent outdated copies from being used.
  • Work with Sales to clarify which terms can be adjusted and which require review.
  • Identify missing template provisions and address the gaps.

Cerințe

  • Practical experience reviewing professional services agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, and change orders; consulting or implementation experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of indemnification, liability limits, service-level agreements, data and privacy provisions, and insurance requirements.
  • Experience creating or maintaining a contract repository or tracker and keeping its records current.
  • Experience guiding a template or process change through adoption by teams outside your reporting line.
  • Ability to assess risk, estimate its potential impact, recommend responses, and support decision-makers.
  • Experience working with outside counsel or an in-house legal team.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, spreadsheets, Salesforce, and electronic signature platforms.
  • Openness to adopting new tools, including AI.
  • Preferred: experience with public sector contracts and RFPs.
  • Preferred: experience with prime agreements and flow-down terms, including procurement codes and subcontracting commitments.
  • Construction experience is a plus.
  • Preferred: experience completing client security questionnaires.
  • Preferred: experience reviewing software, IT, and vendor agreements.
  • Preferred: experience with international contracts.
