  • Find and pursue new business through outbound outreach, inbound leads, referrals, marketplace research, and reactivation campaigns.
  • Lead discovery calls to understand clients’ shipping volumes, carriers, pain points, platforms, service needs, and growth potential.
  • Assess prospects for commercial fit, shipping profile, compliance needs, operational feasibility, and expected revenue.
  • Present Chit Chats services clearly, tailoring each conversation to client needs.
  • Create pricing comparisons, savings summaries, proposals, and follow-up materials.
  • Work with Sales, Data, Product, and Operations on complex pricing and service-fit questions.
  • Keep lead, opportunity, and client records accurate in the CRM.
  • Record outreach, follow-ups, next steps, and deal stages.
  • Coordinate post-sale handoffs with Onboarding and Account Management.
  • Follow up with prospects to advance opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  • Surface client needs that could inform products, service improvements, marketing campaigns, or partnerships.
  • Support sales campaigns, targeted outreach by industry, and market research.
  • Meet or exceed targets for activity, pipeline, conversion, activation, and revenue.
  • Report to the Sales Manager, Business Development.

  • Communicate effectively in writing and conversation.
  • Experience with B2B logistics client outreach is a strong asset.
  • Prior B2B sales experience in logistics or supply chain is a strong asset.
  • Be comfortable with cold outreach, discovery calls, follow-ups, and client presentations.
  • Take a customer-first approach, understand client pain points, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Stay organized while managing prospects at different stages.
  • Learn Chit Chats services, pricing, shipping workflows, compliance considerations, and operational requirements.
  • Use CRM software, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and basic reporting tools.
  • Solve problems and coordinate effectively with internal teams.
  • Work independently, stay resilient, and pursue sales goals.
  • Balance revenue growth with client fit, profitability, and operational feasibility.
  • Have post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Bring 2–5+ years of experience in sales, business development, customer success, account management, or sales support in logistics or supply chain.
  • Experience in e-commerce, shipping, logistics, marketplaces, or small business services is an asset.
  • B2B sales experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, or a related industry, is an asset.
  • Complete reference and criminal background checks before employment.
