Staff Content Manager, Italian Legal Content (Remote - Italy)

Lead Clio’s Italian legal content strategy across case law, legislation, publishing quality, and AI-powered discovery. Drive coverage, reliability, partnerships, and business outcomes for legal technology in Italy.

Description

  • Own Clio’s Italian legal content roadmap and define targets for coverage, update speed, enrichment, and reliability
  • Benchmark coverage, freshness, and quality against Wolters Kluwer Italia, Giuffrè Francis Lefebvre, and UTET Giuridica
  • Improve win rates, customer trust, and retention while connecting Italian content performance to revenue
  • Identify gaps in Italian case law and legislation and prioritize them by legal importance, customer demand, competitive risk, and remediation cost
  • Lead build, buy, and licensing decisions with Licensing, Legal, and Corporate Development
  • Manage a prioritized backlog with Content Operations and Engineering while guiding the transition to Iceberg
  • Develop scalable proprietary pipelines that reduce dependence on fragile third-party links and manual processes
  • Establish monitoring, fault-tolerance, and recovery standards to keep Vincent and Clio Work available
  • Partner with Italian Editorial and Operations teams to improve metadata for case law and legislation, including citations, amendments, summaries, and hierarchy
  • Combine editorial review with AI tools to strengthen content discovery, usage, and downstream AI readability
  • Partner with Finance and FP&A to evaluate Italian content spending and build dashboards covering document cost, ingestion speed, coverage parity, and enrichment reach
  • Report roadmap progress, risks, and business impact to the Content Committee each quarter
  • Evaluate Clio’s Italian coverage against regional providers and monitor emerging AI and NLP approaches for legal text
  • Develop relationships with courts, publishers, and open-data organizations
  • Train Product, Sales, Marketing, and Support teams on Clio’s Italian content
  • Maintain the internal Italian Legal Materials Reference Guide
  • Act as the subject-matter expert for enterprise deals requiring extensive Italian legal content expertise
  • Document Clio’s Italian content strengths for Product Marketing and Sales Enablement

Requirements

  • Bring 7–10 years of experience in legal publishing, legal data, or content and product management, with end-to-end ownership of a content portfolio
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of Italy’s legal system and publishing market, including standards for authority and currency
  • Have direct experience with Italian case law and legislation in legal research or practice platforms
  • Show a history of setting strategy and owning outcomes at senior or staff level beyond project execution
  • Bring strong product ownership and the ability to lead cross-functional work without direct reports
  • Use quantitative analysis and ROI to guide prioritization
  • Be comfortable with ETL pipelines, ingestion systems, and metadata models
  • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences, including executives
  • Have established standards that other teams adopt and follow
  • Show a strong interest in advancing your practice through AI
