Architect V, Enterprise Information (Remote - Florida)

Lead PODS’s enterprise information architecture, data governance, and modernization strategy. Design information models, data flows, integrations, and analytics solutions that support business growth.

Description

  • Lead the design and analysis of PODS’s enterprise information architecture
  • Create an integrated view and roadmap for technology strategy, business processes, and information technology
  • Partner with business and technology teams to align solutions with company goals, mission, and vision
  • Produce information architecture blueprints aligned with functional architecture roadmaps
  • Promote the value of effective information architecture and governance across IT and business teams
  • Coordinate complex technology evaluations, proof-of-concept efforts, and prototypes
  • Design and document enterprise data flows
  • Develop and evaluate data models for analytics and reporting
  • Define master, reference, and structural data standards with governance teams
  • Collaborate with solution architects on data integration and service architectures
  • Translate business drivers and capabilities into architecture designs and required changes
  • Define strategic enterprise application architecture standards across platforms and engineering teams
  • Map enterprise information models to packaged application models to evaluate vendor fit and impact
  • Ensure information architecture addresses business data and information needs
  • Document infrastructure architecture environments and operating procedures
  • Create data architecture blueprints with multi-year transition and modernization recommendations
  • Re-engineer and maintain an enterprise-wide view of data across business systems
  • Analyze information requirements and design the supporting data structures
  • Advance enterprise information capabilities spanning MDM, metadata, analytics, content management, data integration, and related information management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems analysis, or a related field
  • At least 12 years of enterprise experience in data architecture, database design, or business intelligence
  • At least 7 years of experience as a data architect
  • Experience in a private-sector organization with 300 or more employees or a government agency with 500 or more employees
  • Enterprise architecture certification such as TOGAF or ZF is preferred
  • Expertise and hands-on experience with MDM, business intelligence, and data warehouse design and implementation
  • Knowledge of industry-standard middleware, ETL, master data hubs, and service-oriented architecture solutions
  • Experience with BI and analytics architectures, including traditional warehouses, distributed computing, NoSQL, virtualization, or data streaming
  • Experience defining cloud information architectures using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, Azure SQL, Cassandra, and Cosmos
  • Hands-on experience with ERWin or an industry-standard modeling tool for OLTP and OLAP data models and implementation
  • Understanding of domain modeling, business-process data flows, business information models, entity-flow diagrams, common information models, and MDM
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Stack
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and Snowflake
  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience implementing master and reference data management, data quality, metadata management, and data governance
