Senior DevOps Specialist – Shared Services

Senior DevOps Specialist helping Intact modernize platforms and engineering practices across hybrid teams in Canada. Supports product squads through automation, tooling, training, mentorship, and technical guidance.

Description

  • Build tools and automation that help product squads advance their capabilities
  • Assess software promotion and delivery practices, offer feedback, and uncover improvement opportunities
  • Help shape the organization’s technology and transformation roadmap
  • Train teams on new tools and practices from Intact and the wider technology industry
  • Stay informed about relevant technology developments
  • Translate complex concepts and solutions into clear, accessible steps
  • Mentor teams and act as a key contact for squad technical leaders
  • Guide product squads in continuous improvement through advice, training, support, and tool or platform selection and development
  • Work across mainframe, on-premises, and cloud-hosted platforms and technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent professional experience
  • At least 7 years of industry experience
  • Demonstrated success in a comparable technical leadership position
  • Strong interest in technology and continuous improvement
  • Curiosity about current industry trends and advancements
  • A clear perspective on the future of software engineering practices and the technology landscape
  • Willingness to lead change and question established practices
  • Eligibility to work in Canada is required
  • Candidates based in Quebec must be bilingual to work regularly with English-speaking colleagues across Canada
  • Experience with comparable technology stacks and transferable skills are accepted
  • Previous Canadian work experience is not required
