Senior Outsourced Payroll Specialist - Baker Tilly US Remote

Lead outsourced payroll processing, client implementations, and ADP support for Baker Tilly clients. This senior role serves eligible U.S. remote locations.

Description

  • Maintain accurate client payroll records and resolve discrepancies in the relevant payroll systems
  • Process and review payroll by client deadlines, including employee updates, bonuses, severance, tax calculations, payroll deposits, withholdings, and garnishments
  • Produce reports covering employee earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer Social Security and unemployment contributions
  • Build trusted client relationships and provide payroll guidance
  • Protect the confidentiality of employee information
  • Communicate detailed information clearly in writing and verbally
  • Deliver technical software support to clients
  • Track out-of-scope work and identify potential new service opportunities
  • Assist implementation teams when needed
  • Assess client payroll requirements through interviews
  • Lead new-client implementation projects to timely completion and client satisfaction
  • Train clients in payroll procedures
  • Support newer staff and provide prompt, constructive feedback
  • Share knowledge and lessons learned to strengthen team capabilities
  • Research ADP platforms and keep product knowledge current
  • Stay informed about applicable local, state, and federal practices and laws

Requirements

  • At least three years of relevant payroll experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in place of the degree
  • CPP certification preferred
  • Experience with ADP RUN and payroll implementation projects
  • Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Comfort working to deadlines while supporting multiple clients
  • Ability to deliver outstanding client service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with professional communication across all organizational levels
  • Capacity to learn new technologies and processes quickly
  • Ability to apply lessons learned and new skills in daily work and share them appropriately with colleagues
