Remote Document Controller for Construction Projects

GoFasti is seeking a remote Document Controller to manage electronic construction records, transmittals, technical documentation, project close-out, and archiving. The role supports document control coordination with contractors, project teams, management, and clients.

Description

  • Review, verify, organize, and retrieve electronic documents used in construction projects
  • Manage documentation for both incoming and outgoing transmittals
  • Review and update technical reports, specifications, drawings, and related project records
  • Apply appropriate systems, tools, and methods to index, file, and control engineering and construction documentation
  • Coordinate with contractors, project teams, and project managers to distribute, maintain, and retrieve project records
  • Address documentation issues proactively and help reduce project risks
  • Assist with document control procedures by supporting, training, and guiding team members and clients
  • Take part in application review, candidate screening, client profile assessment, interviews, hiring, and onboarding

Requirements

  • Professional proficiency in English
  • At least one year of full-cycle electronic document control experience; project close-out experience is advantageous
  • Background in document control and records management, including engineering and vendor documents, as-built records, turnover activities, technical close-out, and project archiving
  • Construction industry experience with familiarity with engineering workflows, project phases, facilities, and operational documentation
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment
  • Strong technical writing skills for documentation, specifications, training content, and presentations
  • Well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments accurately and precisely
  • Adaptability when client requirements change
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining quality standards
  • Greenfield and Brownfield project experience is advantageous
  • Project close-out experience is advantageous
