Remote Customer Service Representative in Michigan

Support quotations, orders, scheduling, and customer inquiries for Cornerstone Building Brands’ exterior building-products business. Maintain customer sales and support outside sales activities.

Description

  • Prepare accurate quotations, purchase orders, and work orders
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests
  • Maintain and expand sales among active and inactive customers
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Enter customer orders accurately in Oracle
  • Coordinate scheduling and deliveries across multiple plant sites
  • Provide product information and resolve customer support questions
  • Manage claims, account reconciliation, and related transactions
  • Communicate promptly with the appropriate internal function
  • Answer inbound calls and handle basic customer needs
  • Serve as a liaison between manufacturing teams and customers
  • Develop knowledge of the assigned commercial and industrial product line
  • Prepare quotations to support Outside Sales

Requirements

  • Strong mathematical ability, including calculating square footage and assisting customers with orders
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
  • Ability to learn, understand, and apply training while exercising sound judgment in individual situations
  • Ability to make proactive decisions based on customer needs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Project management and negotiation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read building drawings
  • Two or more years of post-secondary education preferred
  • Two or more years of construction-products sales experience preferred but not required
  • Bilingual ability is preferred but not required
  • Previous roofing and wall experience preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old to apply
