Onsite Data Analyst – Oracle ERP and Data Governance at Clayton

Clayton is seeking an onsite Data Analyst in Maryville, Tennessee, to manage Oracle ERP, AS400, and enterprise data governance activities. The role focuses on data quality, process improvement, and operational support.

Description

  • Own the creation, upkeep, validation, and governance of master, transactional, and reference data across Oracle ERP, AS400, and related systems.
  • Track data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and adherence to governance requirements, business rules, and controls.
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies, duplicate records, system exceptions, and inconsistencies between systems.
  • Apply corrective measures and identify opportunities to improve data processes.
  • Administer item, material, supplier, pricing, purchasing, and classification records using established standards and naming conventions.
  • Manage approved data updates through validation, testing, conversion, and documentation for system enhancements and ERP projects.
  • Create and maintain governance materials, standard operating procedures, data definitions, and process guidelines.
  • Assist business users and train them on data standards, procedures, and controls.
  • Work with teams across the organization to strengthen data quality, align processes, meet reporting needs, and support enterprise governance programs.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in information systems, business administration, finance, supply chain management, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Preferred experience includes 0–2 years in data management, ERP systems, manufacturing operations, business systems support, or a related area.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP, AS400, or comparable enterprise platforms—including governance, quality management, testing, implementation, and process improvement—is preferred.
  • Understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, item, supplier, pricing, and cost data.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, reconciliation, and validation abilities, with careful attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to convert business needs into practical data standards, workflows, and system solutions.
  • Effective communication, organization, documentation, training, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capability and proficiency with Microsoft Office; reporting or analytics tool experience is preferred.
  • Oracle ERP experience is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel for meetings, training, site visits, or other business activities when needed.
  • Ability to remain seated or standing in a stationary position for extended periods while completing computer-based work.
  • Ability to communicate by phone, email, and in person and exchange accurate information with others.
