Entity Controller - Lundbeck - Krakow, Poland (On-Site)

Lundbeck is seeking an Entity Controller in Krakow to oversee the legal, financial, and administrative closure of entities. The role coordinates global stakeholders, monitors compliance and risks, and supports accurate reporting across Global Business Services.

Description

  • Support strategic Global Business Services initiatives by providing operational expertise and oversight for legal and accounting entity closures under the COM Project.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and control activities throughout the entity closure process.
  • Complete legal, financial, and administrative closure requirements accurately, on schedule, and in line with applicable laws, accounting standards, and corporate policies.
  • Collaborate with liquidators, legal counsel, finance specialists, and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as the principal contact between GBS teams, external liquidators, and headquarters workstreams for assigned company codes.
  • Monitor closure progress, assess risk areas, identify emerging issues, and escalate concerns when necessary.
  • Help maintain compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory obligations.
  • Assess operational compliance and propose improvements to relevant processes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely information exchange among all stakeholders.
  • Create status reports, progress updates, and supporting documentation.
  • Recognize legal, financial, and compliance risks and support the development of mitigation measures.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in finance, accounting, or compliance within an international or Global Business Services environment.
  • Ability to independently manage complex work and make effective decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence collaborating with senior stakeholders worldwide.
  • A curious, accountable approach to problem-solving, with the initiative to build knowledge and turn uncertainty into responsible action.
  • Respectful, collaborative communication style with the ability to build trust across cultures and work effectively with senior stakeholders and global experts.
  • Adaptability, resilience, and ownership, with the ability to deliver under pressure and respond constructively to change.
  • At least eight years of combined experience in a Global Business Services environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • C1-level English proficiency.
  • Master’s degree.
  • Project management knowledge is an advantage.
  • SAP knowledge is an advantage.
  • Experience participating in transformation projects is an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with senior and demanding stakeholders.
  • Capacity to work independently, identify the information required to resolve complex issues, manage pressure, and recover from setbacks.
  • Accountability for assigned responsibilities, including the self-directed learning or research needed to complete them.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while shifting between priorities.
  • Creativity and willingness to challenge established ways of working.
