Electromechanical Field Service Technician III - Seattle, Onsite

Service G+D currency-security equipment at customer sites in Seattle. Diagnose, repair, install, and maintain complex electromechanical systems while supporting operators and field-service teams.

Description

  • Service, install, and repair complex electromechanical equipment at customer locations
  • Respond to service requests and complete preventive and corrective maintenance on site
  • Help equipment operators resolve operational problems
  • Manage escalated technical and service issues
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electronic hardware, software, and system failures
  • Perform reliable repairs that reduce equipment downtime
  • Create reports on product failure patterns and serviceability concerns
  • Maintain records, service reports, and inventory documentation
  • Control parts inventory and arrange shipments for repairs and replenishment
  • Track tools and testing equipment
  • Document maintenance work according to approved procedures
  • Apply escalation processes and communicate with company staff and customer managers
  • Keep customers informed and anticipate their service needs
  • Support on-site training for less experienced field service technicians
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory and other areas to cover Field Engineers
  • Work safely and comply with company safety policies and procedures
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • At least four years of relevant experience, including two or more years in field service
  • Practical experience working with electromechanical equipment is essential
  • Previous customer-facing experience is required
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electromechanical systems
  • Understanding of electronic principles
  • Working knowledge of computers, PCs, and networking
  • Ability to use a laptop or tablet for administrative and diagnostic work
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to provide personal information and obtain required Gaming Licenses for Commercial Field Service Technicians
  • Availability for extended hours and travel
  • Ability to work shifts when required
  • An associate degree or trade or technical school certificate or diploma is preferred
  • Experience with solenoids, belts, rollers, bearings, pneumatics, and guides is advantageous
