Business and Accounting Applications Analyst

Support and implement cloud-based accounting and business applications at CLA. Improve workflows through automation, data migration, troubleshooting, and AI-enabled tools.

Description

  • Configure finance, accounting, expense, and reporting platforms to support business operations
  • Administer application settings, access roles, permissions, workflows, and user preferences
  • Assist with onboarding and migrations by mapping, cleansing, converting, validating, and reconciling data
  • Document implementation methods, operating standards, and recommended practices
  • Work with internal stakeholders and vendors to address implementation challenges
  • Guide users through application implementation and onboarding activities
  • Provide subject matter expertise on accounting and business systems
  • Diagnose application, integration, synchronization, and access problems
  • Resolve support cases and refer complex issues through the appropriate channels
  • Determine underlying causes and propose durable corrective actions
  • Track application performance, integration reliability, and support patterns
  • Develop effective working relationships with teams and clients using supported platforms
  • Find opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and standardized processes
  • Use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude in daily work
  • Develop and update knowledge articles, troubleshooting references, implementation guides, training content, and support materials
  • Review new products, platform capabilities, and emerging technologies
  • Participate in CLA’s AI and digital transformation programs
  • Advise on technology that supports accounting activities and wider business requirements

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, though relevant experience, education, and training may be considered instead
  • At least two years of customer service support experience
  • Exposure to application support, help desk, desktop management, mobile device or application support, or comparable IT work is preferred
  • Experience with ERP platforms such as Digits, QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, or Xero is preferred
  • Experience with spend management systems such as Ramp, BILL, or Expensify is preferred
  • Familiarity with FP&A platforms such as Fathom or Power BI is preferred
  • Familiarity with Power Query or Power Apps is preferred
  • Background supporting or implementing cloud-based business applications is preferred
  • Experience in a client-facing or consulting setting is preferred
  • Experience with ticketing tools, knowledge management systems, or customer support operations is preferred
