Assistant General Manager, Cannabis Retail

Support Trulieve’s cannabis retail operations in Guadalupe, Arizona, by leading store teams and overseeing inventory, compliance, customer service, and performance goals.

Description

  • Assist the General Manager with leading and supervising store employees.
  • Track and manage inventory.
  • Meet performance targets and keep daily store operations running efficiently.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and deliver a high-quality customer experience.
  • Work with the General Manager to develop and carry out plans that improve service standards and sales results.
  • Keep visual merchandising aligned with brand standards.
  • Review and communicate company procedures and state regulations, and ensure the team follows them.
  • Work with the General Manager and other leaders to inform employees about procedure updates.
  • Coach, train, and develop employees to strengthen service and accountability.
  • Monitor and maintain store inventory.
  • Address and resolve patient concerns and escalations while on duty.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with business partners.
  • Help the General Manager manage the labor budget.
  • Protect confidential information and follow compliance requirements.
  • Complete other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • At least two years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous management experience, preferably in retail or customer service.
  • Previous cash-handling experience.
  • Ability to train, develop, and evaluate a team of more than 40 employees.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the professionalism to communicate with staff and management at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Conversational English proficiency.
  • Ability to use electronic equipment such as computers, scanners, printers, and telecommunications devices.
  • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
  • Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions to inform policies and procedures.
  • Ability to interact respectfully and politely with customers and team members.
  • For delivery locations only: valid driver’s license and successful motor vehicle record check.
  • Ability to pass Level 1 and Level 2 background checks.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
  • Ability to work with patrons of different ages and abilities, including people experiencing emotional distress or behaving in a hostile manner.
  • Ability to move throughout the facility, including in tight spaces.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, or position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to use stools, ladders, and steps, and to crouch, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
  • Adequate vision and hearing, with or without aids.
  • Availability to work 40–45 hours per week on a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
