Accounts Payable Supervisor - California Remote

Lead invoice processing, reconciliations, vendor management, and accounts payable staff for SRI’s nonprofit research operations. Help maintain compliant, efficient finance processes through automation and process improvement.

Description

  • Manage accurate, timely processing of high-volume invoices, credit memos, and ACH, check, and wire payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and balance sheet accounts, monitor AP aging, and prepare management reports.
  • Lead, train, and evaluate accounts payable team members.
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, internal controls, GAAP, CAS, FAR, and DFARS.
  • Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives using SAP Ariba and Costpoint.
  • Create, implement, and maintain accounts payable policies and procedures.
  • Assist with 1099 filings, year-end reporting, and vendor record maintenance, including W-9 documentation.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in accounts payable operations.
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership position.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance is preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint is required.
  • Experience with SAP Ariba is preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of CAS, FAR, and DFARS compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • A positive, service-oriented approach with a focus on process improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
