Field Service Engineer - Waters Diagnostics - Erembodegem, Belgium

- Deliver expert support for BD Diagnostics/Waters ADx instruments and systems across the assigned territory.
- Provide on-site technical services, including installations, deinstallations, relocations, IQ/OQ certifications, and repairs.
- Investigate and diagnose technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and assist customers remotely.
- Travel to customer locations for detailed issue resolution when remote support is insufficient.
- Plan and perform field corrective actions, system upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
- Verify instrument performance and record completed service interventions.
- Coordinate appointments, spare parts, tools, and service logistics with Planning & Dispatching.
- Manage personal scheduling and administration, submitting service reports, change notices, technical reports, and service data.
- Keep a personal vehicle inventory of required spare parts and tools.
- Follow quality, ISO, GMP, safety, and customer service-level requirements.
- Explain service contract terms, benefits, pricing, and technical support coverage to customers.
- Verify customer-site pre-installation requirements and report findings to the Technical Support Team Leader.
- Provide telephone and on-site customer support during assigned weekends and bank holidays.
- Provide backup support for colleagues across the Benelux region when required.
आवश्यकताएँ
- MBO-4 or HBO qualification in engineering or a related technical and business discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a technical service or customer support role.
- Experience servicing instruments in the medical or research sector is preferred.
- English and French language proficiency is required.
- A full driving licence is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Results-focused approach with a strong commercial attitude.
- Process-oriented and well organized.
- Experience applying continuous improvement methods.
- Availability for assigned weekend and bank-holiday telephone and on-site customer support duty.
- Ability to provide field support primarily across Wallonia, Belgium, with occasional travel to the BD Belgium office.
- Willingness and ability to complete required formal training on Waters products.
