Senior Data Scientist, AI and LLMs
Lead the development and production rollout of AI, machine learning, and LLM solutions for Stampli’s financial operations platform. The role includes evaluating models, mentoring data scientists, and working from the Tel Aviv office three days a week.

- Find ways to use AI to improve product experiences and operational efficiency.
- Analyze and model financial data to build practical AI products.
- Lead AI solutions from problem definition and research through modeling and implementation.
- Turn complex problems into structured work plans.
- Work with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to integrate AI into products.
- Track developments in AI, machine learning, and LLMs, and apply relevant advances.
- Guide and mentor junior data scientists.
- Deliver near-term work while supporting longer-term innovation.
- Build and deploy AI solutions across Stampli’s SaaS platform.
- Work from the Tel Aviv office Tuesday through Thursday each week.
Zahteve
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
- At least six years of data science experience, ideally at a SaaS or technology company.
- Demonstrated success leading and delivering AI solutions to address important business problems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in Hebrew and English.
- Practical experience building and shipping agentic systems based on LLMs.
- Ability to take machine learning and LLM solutions from research into production.
- Skilled in evaluation methods, including labeled evaluation sets, metrics, offline benchmarks, and shadow or A/B comparisons.
- Experience deploying and maintaining production models or services, including FastAPI, asynchronous queue processing, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Ability to investigate production behavior with logs, metrics, and data, identify root causes, and confirm fixes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS services such as S3, DynamoDB, SQS, and Bedrock.
- Strong Python engineering skills, including writing testable code and using pytest, async, Pydantic, Git, and code review.
- Experience with embeddings, vector or hybrid search, OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
- Experience with OCR, document layout and table understanding, invoices, or financial documents.
- Experience using LangChain or LlamaIndex and MLflow.
- Experience with big data and data warehouses such as Redshift.
