FP&A Manager, Data Center Development (California Remote)

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and project cash flow planning as Montera grows its hyperscale data center platform. Partner with the CFO on infrastructure investment and commercial decisions.

Descriere

  • Build Montera’s financial planning function as its hyperscale data center development platform grows.
  • Report to the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Lead company-wide budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, project cash flow analysis, and executive reporting.
  • Work with Development, Delivery, Procurement, People, Accounting, and executive leaders to improve financial insight and decisions.
  • Run annual budgeting and planning, from templates and timelines to departmental inputs, consolidation, and leadership reports.
  • Maintain the corporate model for operating expenses, G&A, headcount, capitalized costs, and company-wide forecasts.
  • Manage regular forecasting and reforecasting.
  • Maintain a rolling headcount model that links hiring plans to operating budgets and cash flow.
  • Create financial scenarios and sensitivity analyses.
  • Forecast project cash flow for development spending, construction funding, and liquidity.
  • Review project budgets, construction spending, change orders, contingencies, and cost variances.
  • Analyze data center development and construction measures, including cost per MW, $/W, and project economics.
  • Monitor construction draw schedules, funding needs, and projected cash outflows.
  • Spot financial risks and cost pressures, and identify ways to improve project performance.
  • Assess equipment purchases, payment terms, supplier deposits, milestone payments, and working capital needs.
  • Analyze the cash flow effects of long-lead equipment purchases and procurement commitments.
  • Support commercial decisions with financial models, pricing analysis, and lease economics.
  • Help establish a commercial deal desk for pricing discipline, approvals, and yield-on-cost analysis.
  • Prepare analysis and recommendations for project investments and commercial negotiations.
  • Create and maintain financial dashboards, KPIs, and executive reports.
  • Compare actual results with budgets, forecasts, and company objectives.
  • Turn complex financial information into practical recommendations.
  • Set up planning processes, reporting tools, and analytical frameworks that can scale.
  • Improve financial data accuracy, reporting consistency, and operational visibility.
  • Streamline processes, automate reporting, and improve financial decision-making.

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
  • Six to ten years of experience in FP&A, development finance, project finance, or a related financial role.
  • Experience at a data center developer, owner, or operator.
  • Strong grasp of data center development economics, construction costs, capital needs, and project cash flow.
  • Experience leading or substantially contributing to corporate budgets, financial forecasts, and long-range plans.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analysis skills, including building and maintaining comprehensive models.
  • Experience partnering with development, construction, procurement, accounting, or other operations teams.
  • Strong knowledge of project and construction finance, including budgets, cash flow forecasts, contingencies, and cost variance analysis.
  • Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system.
  • Ability to independently create financial reports, dashboards, and analytical tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including presenting financial information and recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Highly organized and detail-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving development environment.
  • Preferred: experience supporting financial planning for hyperscale data center development, construction, or operations.
  • Preferred: experience building project cash flow models, construction spending forecasts, and capital expenditure plans.
  • Preferred: familiarity with data center financial measures such as cost per MW, $/W, development yields, and lease economics.
  • Preferred: experience assessing commercial agreements, procurement payment structures, or major capital commitments.
  • Preferred: investment banking, Big Four accounting, transaction advisory, or similar experience combined with substantial operating experience.
  • Preferred: experience establishing FP&A processes, financial reporting frameworks, or corporate planning functions at a growing organization.
  • Preferred: ability to work independently, take ownership of ambiguous issues, and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
