Description

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic commercial banking clients
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with business owners, executives, and other key decision-makers
  • Assess client objectives and recommend tailored financial solutions
  • Expand relationships across lending, cash management, treasury, investment, and other banking services
  • Generate new business opportunities and maintain a strong prospective-client pipeline
  • Create and implement strategies for market growth
  • Apply market intelligence, industry trends, and competitive insights to uncover opportunities and accelerate portfolio growth
  • Represent the bank at industry events, conferences, and networking activities
  • Structure and negotiate complex credit facilities and banking solutions
  • Lead credit discussions, obtain approvals, and coordinate with internal partners
  • Review lending and cash-management agreements for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Perform financial analysis and credit assessments
  • Partner with product specialists, credit teams, risk functions, and senior leaders
  • Serve as an escalation contact for complex client matters
  • Deliver insights and recommendations to support business strategy and portfolio performance
  • Track portfolio profitability, risk exposure, and return on equity
  • Assess client relationships to deepen engagement and improve returns
  • Prepare executive reports covering portfolio performance, market developments, and client trends
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and risk-management standards

Requirements

  • At least seven years of experience in commercial banking, relationship management, portfolio management, or business development
  • Demonstrated success managing complex client relationships and achieving strong sales and revenue results
  • Experience structuring, negotiating, and executing commercial lending transactions
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements, credit analysis, and risk assessment
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Equivalent education and relevant professional experience may be considered
  • Applicable credit qualifications, where required
