Description

  • Own software delivery for assigned squads from initial requirements through production release
  • Remove obstacles that affect delivery progress
  • Build motivated, collaborative, efficient, and empowered squads
  • Deliver production-ready software across one or more products or solutions
  • Typically oversee two squads of five to nine people each
  • Encourage collaboration, reduce silos, and resolve impediments
  • Apply Scrum and Kanban practices as an Agile specialist
  • Develop high-performing teams and provide practical support when needed
  • Promote strong practices in software development, architecture, testing, and security
  • Address technical debt, obsolescence, security, and modernization throughout the product lifecycle
  • Maintain effective Agile governance and ceremonies
  • Plan product releases and facilitate Increment Planning sessions
  • Lead teams that develop and maintain AI-based solutions
  • Use delivery metrics to inform decisions
  • Manage the squad’s Continuous Improvement backlog to improve time to market, efficiency, and quality
  • Coach and support squads while building ownership and mutual respect
  • May line-manage one or more squad leads
  • Lead designated cross-functional workstreams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline
  • 10–12 years of professional experience
  • Demonstrated success delivering technology in a regulated, complex, multi-product environment
  • Broad technical knowledge across software architecture, testing, DevOps, generative AI, security, and operational delivery
  • Data-driven approach to evaluating and reporting delivery performance
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities
  • Ideally, experience integrating AI model development into applications
  • Experience leading and motivating distributed teams
  • Comprehensive understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Agile certification such as PSM, CSP, SAFe, ICP-ACC, or an equivalent credential
  • Experience delivering solutions with .NET, SQL stored procedures, Angular, MongoDB, and workflow automation
  • Experience using ADO to manage work throughout its lifecycle
  • Expertise in metrics-based work tracking and connecting delivery activity to business value
  • Knowledge of the superannuation and/or investments domain, with experience managing related products
  • Strong project management, communication, and customer service abilities
  • History of taking solutions from concept through implementation and ongoing support
  • Payroll accounting knowledge is preferred
