Property Adjuster, Coordinated Contents – Allstate

Description

  • Manage escalated claims involving complex contents or additional living expense damage
  • Perform detailed coverage investigations and apply policy terms accurately
  • Use video technology to work with onsite vendors, assess damage, and prepare virtual contents estimates
  • Guide customers through the claims process with empathy and professionalism
  • Negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants
  • Partner with structure adjusters to coordinate complete claim resolutions
  • Apply data and analytics to support sound claims decisions
  • Review property damage and interpret policies to investigate claims thoroughly
  • Maintain complete and timely claim documentation in the claims system
  • Work remotely from home with occasional onsite field inspections
  • Participate in virtual training and continued professional development

Requirements

  • Live in the posted location: Virginia, United States, with remote work eligibility
  • Hold a valid driver’s license
  • Be available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with rotating weekend coverage and additional hours as needed
  • Be willing to conduct occasional onsite field inspections
  • Residence in the Eastern Time Zone is preferred
  • Experience with estimating tools such as Xactimate for complex contents claims is preferred
  • Demonstrate the ability to investigate property claims, interpret policies, establish coverage, and negotiate settlements
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and conversation
  • Organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Use critical thinking and work independently
  • Successfully complete a background investigation
  • Obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire when required
  • Terminate existing appointments and maintain no outside appointments during employment if currently holding active insurance licenses
  • Allstate generally does not sponsor employment-based visas
