Description

  • Oversee TVV’s civil court and administrative litigation
  • Set litigation strategy and manage external law firms
  • Evaluate legal risks, provisions, and settlements; monitor compliance with decisions and report material matters to leadership
  • Deliver advisory and preventive legal guidance to business and operations teams
  • Identify legal risks related to port-terminal activities and recommend solutions
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, notices, terms, agreements, and other legal instruments
  • Manage matters involving civil liability, cargo and equipment damage, accidents, collections, indemnification claims, real estate law, and contractual relationships
  • Review operational incidents and support measures to prevent and reduce liabilities
  • Assist with provisions, contingencies, and legal performance metrics
  • Oversee external law firms and legal service providers, tracking performance, deadlines, budgets, and outcomes
  • Support Legal Operations programs covering workflows, SLAs, playbooks, KPIs, budgets, controls, governance, and powers of attorney
  • Adopt and encourage legal technology, including litigation and contract systems, automation, data analysis, dashboards, and artificial intelligence
  • Define and track legal KPIs while assessing the litigation portfolio, financial exposure, dispute levels, performance, response times, and cost- and risk-reduction opportunities

Requirements

  • Law degree with active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
  • Postgraduate qualification is preferred
  • Knowledge of Legal Operations, artificial intelligence, and in-house legal teams is preferred
  • Experience using legal systems is preferred
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • Advanced computer literacy and Microsoft Office skills
  • Dynamic, communicative, proactive, and determined approach
  • Strong collaborative teamwork skills
