HR Systems Analyst III (Workday) - Republic Services | Remote

Republic Services is hiring an HR Systems Analyst III to configure and improve Workday HR solutions in a remote role. The position leads module workstreams, release activities, testing, and HR systems governance.

Description

  • Design, build, test, and enhance Workday solutions across assigned modules
  • Investigate system challenges, identify root causes, and implement scalable configuration improvements
  • Configure complex Workday business processes, condition rules, calculated fields, validations, alerts, notifications, eligibility rules, and EIB templates
  • Lead complex workstreams and evaluate impacts across entire modules
  • Protect configuration integrity and long-term maintainability
  • Mentor HR Systems Analyst II team members and act as an escalation resource
  • Support Tier 1 and Tier 2 HR teams with systems guidance
  • Lead twice-yearly release impact assessments, remediation efforts, and regression testing
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing with Centers of Excellence and HR Operations
  • Work with Workday Engineers to evaluate technical feasibility and manage migration processes
  • Partner with Business Analysts to convert requirements into functional designs
  • Advise product owners, HR leaders, and Centers of Excellence on HR systems needs
  • Maintain configuration records, decision logs, and operating standards
  • Ensure required documentation and controlled migration procedures are followed
  • Complete other assigned or apparent job-related duties

Requirements

  • Four to seven years of hands-on Workday HRIS experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday configuration and capabilities within relevant modules
  • Ability to troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolutions
  • Advanced knowledge of Workday business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, EIB, and security fundamentals
  • Experience managing Workday releases and regression testing
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel
  • Working proficiency with Visio, Jira, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and stakeholder relationship-management abilities
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively within a team
  • Demonstrated self-direction
