Global Mobility Analyst – Immigration Specialist

Lead immigration, visa, and expatriate programs for Navy Federal Credit Union. Advise leaders and manage compliance, sponsorship, and international assignments.

Description

  • Manage the International Worker Program
  • Design, implement, and administer immigration and global mobility initiatives
  • Maintain accurate, timely immigration and visa applications
  • Identify and apply process efficiencies and standardization
  • Plan and deliver projects and related initiatives
  • Provide international transactional support
  • Advise associates and senior leaders on visas appropriate to travel purpose and duration
  • Conduct pre-travel information sessions for travelers and leaders
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on employment and work-visa immigration law
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel, relocation providers, NFCU stakeholders, Talent Acquisition, Travel, Legal, and Tax teams
  • Lead PERM initiations, I-140 petitions, Adjustment of Status, and Green Card applications
  • Oversee immigration and global mobility cases through completion
  • Develop and coordinate sponsorship processes covering visas, green cards, passports, work permits, benefits, and expatriate assignments
  • Escalate issues for legal review and manage audits and requests for evidence
  • Improve processes and support for foreign nationals through Oracle HCM and ServiceNow
  • Develop cost-management strategies and assignment cost projections
  • Monitor assignment details, benefits, costs, and immigration and employment documentation
  • Educate stakeholders on immigration and global mobility practices and legislation
  • Develop training materials and train foreign nationals, managers, HRBPs, talent acquisition teams, and business leaders
  • Train global mobility associates in administrative immigration processes

Requirements

  • Experience supporting immigration and sponsorship programs within a complex international organization
  • Experience preparing reports, communications, and presentations for all levels of management
  • Experience developing and implementing expatriate assignments
  • Experience managing vendor relationships for immigration, compliance, and reporting
  • Expertise in immigration law and related best practices
  • Advanced knowledge and application of effective screening and interviewing techniques
  • Demonstrated accountability and follow-through, with the ability to collaborate and influence across the organization
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, sensitive, and ambiguous circumstances
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Advanced training and mentoring capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, International Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Financial-services experience and knowledge of banking processes and services preferred
  • Experience supporting recruiting efforts for a large-scale national or international organization
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
