Generative AI Data Science Intern at Datacor (Remote, US)

Support Datacor’s ERP, CRM, and manufacturing software by developing generative AI applications and production-ready AI features. Work with LLMs, NLP, prototypes, and data pipelines in a remote data science internship.

Description

  • Identify AI opportunities with stakeholders and build intelligent applications
  • Lead MVP development through test-and-learn collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Advance projects from problem definition through prototyping and production deployment
  • Deliver dependable, scalable AI capabilities for production use
  • Create prototypes and data pipelines that support deployment
  • Use generative LLMs, prompts, and user feedback to improve AI applications
  • Present project work and business impact clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree in computational data science, computer science, electrical or computer engineering, or a related discipline
  • Professional experience is expected; previous internship experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current large language models and advances in artificial intelligence
  • Actively follow emerging AI developments and new LLM releases
  • Approach complex, ambiguous problems proactively with a product-oriented perspective
  • Communicate and present complex analyses in a clear, actionable manner
  • Take initiative as a creative, results-focused problem solver who delivers practical outcomes
  • Work inclusively and value perspectives from diverse backgrounds
  • Hands-on experience implementing and fine-tuning generative AI LLMs, with strong knowledge of NLP, embeddings, GPT, and Transformer models
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and deploying AI solutions on AWS or Google Cloud
  • Foundation in deep learning, machine learning, statistics, and optimization through coursework or applied work
  • Programming proficiency in Python and C++ or Java gained through academic or professional experience
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
