Data Analytics Intern - Omaha Hybrid at WoodmenLife

Support analytics, reporting, and process improvement at nonprofit life insurer WoodmenLife. Build experience with data architecture, Agile collaboration, and strategic insight development.

Description

  • Build broad organizational knowledge through weekly intern cohort sessions, executive meetings, and one-on-one discussions with division leaders
  • Prepare and deliver a capstone presentation highlighting internship achievements, skills developed, and key lessons
  • Support cross-functional projects within a collaborative Agile team
  • Learn how enterprise data warehouses and business intelligence systems are structured
  • Extract, transform, and interpret complex datasets to support analysis
  • Develop insights that guide strategic decisions, risk management, and operational improvements
  • Contribute to analytics, reporting, and process improvement work from planning through execution and evaluation

Requirements

  • Be a rising college sophomore, junior, or senior
  • Pursue a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, management information systems, data analytics, or a related discipline
  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Be available to work 38.75 hours per week
  • Demonstrate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office
  • Communicate clearly and work effectively with others
  • Deliver reliable, attentive, resourceful, and trustworthy customer service
  • Show adaptability, resilience, and a commitment to continued growth
  • Offer and communicate creative ideas for improving processes
  • Collaborate across diverse perspectives and exchange constructive feedback
  • Successfully complete criminal background, credit, fingerprint, drug screening, and reference checks when applicable
