Finance Manager, Residential and Commercial

Lead financial planning and analysis for La-Z-Boy’s residential sales and marketing operations. Own forecasting, pricing, profitability analysis, return-on-investment evaluation, budgeting, and team supervision.

Description

  • Support Residential Sales and Marketing as the primary Finance partner.
  • Lead the preparation, analysis, and communication of residential sales and cost-of-sales forecasts.
  • Partner with Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, and Supply Chain to build detailed forecasts using market and product insights.
  • Explain forecast revisions and reconcile forecast results with actual performance.
  • Prepare and maintain profitability analyses for the 30 largest non-Furniture Gallery customers.
  • Monitor sales and gross profit results and create account-specific profitability plans for the 10 largest customers.
  • Direct pricing analyses for products and product groups to improve sales and gross profit.
  • Build business cases for new products and support go-to-market strategy development.
  • Evaluate return on investment for Residential Trade and Volume Discount programs.
  • Analyze financial performance for biannual Market product launches and identify opportunities to improve margins.
  • Set pricing strategies for clearance and obsolete inventory.
  • Forecast and budget gross sales, discounts, and related SG&A expenses.
  • Supervise one to two direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance preferred, or Accounting, plus 6–8 years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.
  • At least five years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in retail brands or consumer packaged goods, especially sales finance.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working across functions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Experience with an ERP system such as SAP or JDE preferred.
  • Ability to satisfy the company’s Driver Management Program requirements when travel or driving is required.
  • Supervisory responsibility for one to two direct reports.
