Experienced Material Damage Claims Adjuster – Texas Remote

Investigate coverage, liability, damages, and potential fraud for National General auto insurance claims. This fully remote Texas role involves customer service, claim evaluation, and negotiation.

Description

  • Investigate and verify loss facts for automobile accidents ranging from basic to advanced
  • Determine applicable coverage, liability, and damage assessments
  • Adjust and negotiate claims within assigned authority limits
  • Assess subrogation or fraud potential and manage complex cases accordingly
  • Use advanced knowledge of company policies, the insurance industry, and organizational relationships
  • Handle complex auto claims involving coverage, liability, and damages
  • Review, assess, and negotiate moderate to complex injury claims when assigned
  • Identify vehicle body parts and evaluate other possible property damage
  • Understand customer needs and respond with appropriate service skills
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across teams
  • This role has no supervisory responsibilities

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Material Damage Claims Adjuster
  • Residence in the Central Standard Time zone
  • Strong customer service skills grounded in empathy and professionalism
  • Expertise in de-escalation and clear, effective communication
  • Strong foundation in coverage investigation and liability assessment
  • Ability to investigate basic through advanced automobile accidents and adjust claims within authority limits
  • Ability to assess potential subrogation or fraud
  • Advanced knowledge of insurance policies, the insurance industry, and organizational relationships
  • Ability to independently handle complex auto claims involving coverage, liability, and damages
  • Ability to review, evaluate, and negotiate moderate to complex injury claims when assigned
  • Ability to identify vehicle body parts and assess other potential property damage
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Applicants with an active insurance license must end all existing appointments before onboarding and may not hold outside appointments during employment
  • Applicants with a resident producer license must formally surrender it when directed by the licensing team
  • A dedicated, private, distraction-free workspace for remote work
  • Reliable internet service with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
