Data Administrator, Data Lake (Hybrid)

Support Hitss Brasil’s Data Lake gold layer and develop data models for analytical use cases. Apply SQL, Python, Git, and data governance practices in a hybrid role based in Brazil.

Description

  • Maintain and improve the gold layer of the Data Lake
  • Build SQL and Python data models and tables for analytical requirements
  • Manage query and script versioning and review code for quality and consistency
  • Help establish governance practices, naming standards, and documentation
  • Organize and document data layers for sustainable maintenance
  • Work with business and data teams to assess needs and recommend analytical solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or a related discipline
  • Completed postgraduate degree in IT, or six professional certifications in the relevant expertise area and/or agile processes from an internationally recognized certifying body
  • Demonstrated professional experience in data administration and data modeling
  • Postgraduate degree in Information Technology or six professional certifications in the relevant expertise area and/or agile methodologies from a recognized certifying body
  • Experience applying medallion architecture to data lakes
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling in SQL and Python
  • Experience using Git for version control and reviewing SQL queries and Python scripts
  • Experience with dbt for data transformation is preferred
  • Knowledge of or experience with Data Mesh is preferred
  • Previous experience working with education policy data is preferred
