M&A Analyst, Investment Banking (Remote in Colombia)

Support complex M&A transactions for a US-based company while working remotely from Colombia. Build financial models, review U.S. GAAP statements, and prepare transaction materials.

Description

  • Develop financial models from historical statements, operating assumptions, and detailed projections.
  • Check financial statements for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, including U.S. GAAP.
  • Resolve accounting classification issues and inconsistencies across financial reports.
  • Prepare detailed, polished PowerPoint presentations with strong visual design.
  • Contribute across M&A deal execution, from due diligence and financial analysis to marketing materials and transaction documents.
  • Write clear, professional client materials in English.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout transactions.
  • Apply AI tools to research, analysis, document preparation, and workflow efficiency.
  • Balance competing priorities and deliver accurate work to tight deadlines.

Requirements

  • Have 3–5 years of relevant professional experience; applicants must have at least 2 and no more than 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Bring direct experience with mergers and acquisitions.
  • Demonstrate strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
  • Understand financial statements and U.S. GAAP.
  • Have advanced PowerPoint skills and a strong eye for presentation design.
  • Communicate excellently in spoken and written English.
  • Show strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Be detail-oriented and able to work independently.
  • Be comfortable using AI tools and adapting to technology-driven workflows.
  • Be based in Colombia, preferably in Bogotá; exceptional candidates elsewhere in the country may also be considered.
  • Relevant backgrounds that will be strongly considered include investment banking, especially M&A; strategy or management consulting with M&A due diligence; transaction advisory or M&A accounting at an accounting firm; private equity investment or acquisition teams; and corporate development or internal M&A strategy.
