Senior Rebate Administration Analyst – Austin, TX

Abbott is hiring a senior analyst to manage customer rebate and fee programs for its medical device business in Austin. The role covers contract analysis, payment calculations, performance tracking, and coordination with sales, finance, accounting, legal, and hospital customers.

Description

  • Manage customer rebate and fee programs across the full contract lifecycle
  • Lead rebate and fee administration from contract execution through expiration
  • Partner with contract authors and sales teams
  • Complete complex calculations, secure approvals, and ensure customer payments are posted and delivered on schedule
  • Coordinate rebate and fee processing with cross-functional teams to support accurate, timely payments
  • Develop mathematical models and tools to calculate payouts and monitor contract performance
  • Deliver written and verbal updates to customers and teams across Sales, Contract Operations Management, Accounting, Finance, Commercial Legal, and other functions
  • Maintain internal and external awareness of contractual obligations
  • Act as the subject matter expert and primary contact for hospitals, hospital systems, and group purchasing organizations in the assigned geography
  • Evaluate information from multiple sources to resolve complex issues and recommend solutions
  • Prepare reports and analysis for the department and senior management
  • Follow approved procedures and notify management when exceptions or deviations are required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • At least five years of experience in business, finance, strategic pricing, or contracting
  • Working knowledge of mathematical modeling
  • Ability to identify relevant details quickly when analyzing large data sets
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while addressing unresolved issues
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word
  • Experience with Business Objects or a comparable reporting system
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask, balance competing priorities, and perform under pressure
  • Ability to work with general supervision
