Senior Product Designer (Remote, Canada)
Lead human-centered, AI-enabled product design for behavioral health and absence management experiences at ComPsych. Drive research, prototyping, design systems, and end-to-end delivery across product and engineering.
Description
- Lead design initiatives for behavioral health and absence management products
- Drive work from problem framing and research through prototyping, delivery, and iteration with product and engineering
- Strengthen team design maturity through research, data-informed decisions, mentorship, critique, systems thinking, and influence
- Apply AI to research synthesis, prototyping, exploration, documentation, execution, and reducing handoffs
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and subject-matter experts to turn complex, high-stakes challenges into testable user outcomes
- Contribute to brainstorming, design critiques, and narrative presentations with design colleagues
- Advance the long-term product vision, design systems, visual language, and design principles
- Develop journey maps and service blueprints spanning frontstage and backstage experiences
- Use storytelling to connect user outcomes with business goals and encourage innovation
Requirements
- Proven ability and motivation to lead experience design from problem definition through delivery and evidence-based iteration
- Strong foundational UX design capabilities and high-quality execution skills
- Experience creating refined solutions for complex product environments
- History of elevating team design practice through mentorship, critique, systems thinking, or influence
- Practical fluency using AI for prototyping, research synthesis, rapid iteration, code-based design, and documentation
- Working knowledge of LLM capabilities, limitations, and human factors
- Commitment to mission-driven, human-centered work that addresses functional and emotional needs
- Ability to explain design processes and the reasoning behind design decisions
- Ability to influence peers and executives while adapting conclusions to evidence
- Experience contributing to Agile product development teams
- Experience in behavioral health, absence management, or another regulated, data-sensitive field
- Accessibility expertise and working knowledge of WCAG 2.2
- Strong mobile product design experience
