Chief Information Officer (Hybrid)

Lead ACCC’s enterprise technology, cybersecurity, and modernization strategy. Oversee resilient systems, governance, delivery, vendors, budgets, and information technology teams.

Description

  • Shape and maintain a multiyear technology strategy and roadmap supporting ACCC’s mission, operating plan, growth objectives, client experience, compliance needs, and financial resources.
  • Translate organizational priorities into a sequenced technology investment portfolio with defined outcomes, owners, dependencies, costs, risks, and timelines.
  • Advise executive leaders on technology opportunities, limitations, risks, capacity, and tradeoffs.
  • Work with business leaders to strengthen client and employee experiences.
  • Oversee the availability, performance, capacity, and support of critical systems, infrastructure, networks, databases, telecommunications, endpoints, cloud services, and integrations.
  • Implement service management practices, service levels, operational metrics, runbooks, system documentation, inventories, escalation procedures, and recovery processes.
  • Direct the enterprise cybersecurity program, including controls, monitoring, vulnerability management, identity and access, data protection, incident response, and compliance reporting.
  • Manage disaster recovery, backup integrity, restoration testing, recovery objectives, redundancy, and business continuity planning.
  • Define enterprise architecture standards and guide decisions involving legacy modernization, cloud, applications, databases, integrations, APIs, data governance, and technical debt.
  • Collaborate with Product and Digital leaders on technical solutions, delivery plans, priorities, forecasts, release calendars, and support models.
  • Manage vendor performance, due diligence, contracts, licensing, service levels, concentration risk, and contingency plans.
  • Prepare and manage technology operating and capital budgets, forecasts, investment cases, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Lead, structure, coach, and develop the Information Technology team.
  • Report on operational health, cybersecurity risk, incidents, delivery performance, capacity, vendors, budgets, compliance, and roadmap progress.
  • Present technology updates and recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team and Board as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant executive experience.
  • At least 12 years of progressively senior technology experience, including 10 or more years managing managers and multidisciplinary technology teams.
  • Documented success leading technology strategy, cybersecurity, infrastructure, applications, software delivery, data, service management, disaster recovery, and vendor relationships.
  • Experience modernizing legacy technology environments while sustaining reliable operations and meeting business priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud and hosted services, networking, databases, systems integration, development lifecycle controls, monitoring, identity and access management, and cybersecurity practices.
  • Experience overseeing technology budgets, contracts, licensing, managed service providers, consultants, and critical third-party relationships.
  • Ability to clearly explain technical risks, options, costs, and recommendations to executives, business partners, auditors, and governing bodies.
  • Sound judgment, integrity, accountability, discretion, and composed leadership during incidents and high-consequence decisions.
