Business Development Director, Real Estate – Los Angeles

Lead real estate-sector growth for Baker Tilly US across tax, assurance, and consulting services. Build client relationships, manage pursuits, and drive territory sales strategy.

Description

  • Expand revenue across Baker Tilly’s Tax, Assurance, and Consulting practices
  • Source and develop real estate business opportunities within an assigned territory
  • Develop and grow strategic client relationships
  • Work with Real Estate Industry Practice leaders to create and implement go-to-market plans
  • Coordinate across service lines to design value-focused solutions for real estate clients
  • Build and manage the client pipeline while leading or supporting pursuits
  • Present Baker Tilly’s complete service offering to the real estate ecosystem
  • Help create the territory sales plan and provide weekly updates to senior management
  • Apply sales methods and strategies across service lines and geographic markets
  • Promote core services in target markets to shape decision-maker preferences
  • Protect client satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution
  • Manage assigned accounts with strategic oversight
  • Support industry-focused technology and systems initiatives while directing the broader sales strategy
  • Keep Salesforce records compliant and the qualified-opportunity pipeline current
  • Meet closed-business revenue targets across new and existing accounts
  • Pursue leads generated by the firm
  • Coordinate with industry, service, geography business development, and practice leaders on an integrated go-to-market strategy
  • Perform account planning and research priority accounts
  • Reach out to prospects and arrange meetings with centers of influence
  • Mentor, develop, and lead sales professionals and industry resources
  • Apply problem-solving, critical-thinking, and thought-leadership skills

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred; equivalent experience may substitute
  • At least 10 years of experience in real estate-focused industries or professional services serving those sectors
  • At least 10 years of experience selling or delivering tax, assurance, or consulting services in real estate environments
  • Strong sales capability with a demonstrated record of meeting key performance targets
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with partners, senior management, and stakeholders
  • High motivation and ambition with a strong drive to achieve results
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Willingness to travel more than 50% when required
