Description

Lead the VCG Data Modernization and Intelligence team
Advance business transformation through automated data intake and enterprise BI migration
Create and oversee intake pipelines that centralize, prioritize, and govern analytical requests and data streams
Lead BI modernization by moving legacy reports to cloud-native platforms and retiring redundant dashboard ecosystems
Develop AI agents and automated workflows to monitor Jira migration status, convert scripts, and produce executive updates
Unify enterprise metrics through governed gold-source data layers and single-source-of-truth semantic models
Enable business partners to use self-service analytics models, including creating Looks from Explorers
Work with cross-functional leaders to manage intake capacity, assess technical dependencies, and sequence modernization roadmaps
Convert multi-source raw feeds into scalable, production-ready cloud architectures across GCP and EDW environments
Review legacy report inventories and carry out migration, consolidation, or archiving plans
Lead change management through practical training, technical documentation, and self-service BI governance
Create executive reporting routines covering weekly migration progress, program milestones, and risk mitigation

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or at least four years of relevant work experience
At least eight years of relevant experience gained through professional work, military service, or specialized training
Experience creating project intake or “front door” workflows and managing delivery pipelines in Jira
Experience with cloud environments, including GCP and data warehouses, plus modern BI platforms such as Looker, Qlik, or Tableau
Background in KPI governance, semantic-layer modeling, and user enablement or training
Willingness to travel up to 15%
Experience deploying generative AI tools or custom AI agents for developer-task automation, script conversion, and project tracking
Experience migrating legacy reports, consolidating dashboards, and retiring outdated platforms
Experience with Verizon Consumer Group operations or systems
Technical proficiency in LookML, SQL, Python, R, or pipeline-automation scripting
Experience incorporating machine-learning or predictive-AI models into cloud data-transformation pipelines
