Description

  • Design and deliver AI-ready data platform capabilities that enable self-service data discovery and access
  • Create AI agents and MCP integrations that support natural-language interactions with data products
  • Partner with domain owners to design intelligent experiences for consuming data
  • Develop APIs, services, and automation frameworks for AI agents and applications
  • Help build Retrieval-Augmented Generation solutions from enterprise data sources
  • Support the development and maintenance of scalable pipelines and cloud-native data services
  • Produce proof-of-concepts for emerging AI, data engineering, and developer productivity technologies
  • Identify user pain points and improve platform usability and adoption
  • Build tools for dataset discovery, lineage, definitions, ownership, and usage analysis
  • Help maintain governance, security, and access controls for AI-enabled solutions
  • Take part in monitoring, troubleshooting, testing, and ongoing platform improvement
  • Maintain technical documentation, contribute to architecture reviews, and share knowledge
  • Use clean coding practices, automated tests, CI/CD, and secure software development methods
  • Investigate emerging AI and data technologies and assess their potential platform value
  • Work with domain owners, data engineers, application teams, and platform engineers

Requirements

  • Be a recent 2026 graduate or an upcoming 2027 graduate
  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline
  • Show enthusiasm for applying data and AI to business challenges
  • Demonstrate curiosity and a willingness to investigate emerging technologies
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively
  • Bring strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging abilities
  • Have programming experience in one or more languages, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
  • Understand APIs and modern software development principles
  • Have foundational knowledge of SQL and data modelling
  • Be familiar with Git and collaborative software development workflows
  • Show an interest in AI, machine learning, large language models, or intelligent systems
  • Have unrestricted permission to work in Ireland for the full internship period
  • Submit a CV and cover letter
  • Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, or MCP is an advantage
  • Knowledge of data engineering and distributed data processing is an advantage
  • Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP is an advantage
  • Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, Dremio, or comparable analytics platforms is an advantage
  • Understanding of vector databases and semantic search is an advantage
  • Experience developing APIs with Spring Boot, FastAPI, or similar frameworks is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage
  • An interest in Data Mesh, data products, data governance, and AI-enabled analytics
