Finance Stress Test Associate – NatWest Group, Gurugram Onsite

Support NatWest Group’s investment banking risk analytics and stressed financial-resource analysis in Gurugram. Manage controls, documentation, and regulatory stress-testing deliverables across the full exercise cycle.

Description

  • Develop recurring internal analysis covering counterparty risk-weighted assets, market risk, and credit risk
  • Run analytics that explain financial-resource utilisation in both base-case and stressed scenarios
  • Help operate the ReMaP data platform across the business
  • Create client- and product-level sensitivity analysis to inform business decisions
  • Support the preparation and ongoing management of internal and regulatory stress tests, including ICAAP, Bank of England, and European Banking Authority exercises
  • Work with internal and external subject-matter experts and stakeholders on controls, plans, issues, ad hoc requests, EUDA, RACI matrices, and root-cause analysis
  • Coordinate with local technology teams on system enhancements and maintenance for on-demand stress testing
  • Conduct quality-assurance reviews of control-check evidence during stress-testing exercises
  • Maintain control checks, supporting records, auditable evidence, and issue logs throughout each stress-test cycle
  • Contribute to finance controls, SOX activities, and the stress-testing management-information dashboard
  • Partner with Internal Audit to design and embed process structures for audit fieldwork and regulatory attestations

Requirements

  • Degree or other qualification in a quantitative discipline, such as mathematics, physics, or engineering
  • At least four years of professional experience
  • Academic background in mathematics, engineering, statistics, or economics
  • Understanding of investment banking and trading activities
  • Knowledge of investment banking products, associated risks, and the clients they serve
  • Working proficiency in C++, Python, MATLAB, SQL, or VBA
  • Ability to develop prototypes and test ideas
  • Proactive working style suited to a fast-paced environment
