Description

  • Build and optimize cloud data platforms for analytics, AI, and data products
  • Develop dependable batch, streaming, and near-real-time pipelines with tools such as Spark and Delta Lake
  • Create ingestion, transformation, and curation workflows for structured and unstructured data
  • Implement lakehouse architectures and medallion layers using Databricks or Fabric
  • Provide curated datasets for analytics, machine learning, causal modeling, and optimization
  • Develop GenAI data flows involving LLMs, RAG, vector search, and agents
  • Design scalable logical and physical data models
  • Orchestrate workflows with Airflow, dbt, Databricks Workflows, Azure Data Factory, or comparable tools
  • Apply practices for data governance, lineage, quality, access control, and security
  • Establish monitoring for data freshness, pipeline reliability, and SLA performance
  • Support data-serving layers such as APIs, feature inputs, and analytical endpoints
  • Optimize pipelines and infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
  • Clarify and refine business requirements with stakeholders
  • Work with data scientists, ML engineers, analysts, platform teams, and business stakeholders
  • Support data-product adoption and advance data and AI ecosystem practices

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience in data engineering
  • Hands-on expertise with Apache Spark and Delta Lake
  • Strong Python and SQL programming skills
  • Demonstrated experience building batch and streaming data pipelines
  • Experience delivering production-ready data platforms
  • Solid knowledge of data modeling, data quality, and governance principles
  • Hands-on experience with AWS data services and Databricks Lakehouse, or Microsoft Azure/Fabric services and tooling
  • Deep expertise in at least one AWS or Azure/Fabric platform track
  • Experience with lakehouse architectures and distributed data systems
  • Strong understanding of pipeline scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Strong problem-solving ability and a collaborative approach to cross-functional work
  • Snowflake or GCP familiarity is helpful but not required
  • Experience in Agile or consulting environments is beneficial
  • Additional value includes experience across AWS and Azure/Fabric, GenAI and AI data systems, CI/CD for data pipelines, Terraform or CloudFormation, Kafka, Spark optimization, advanced analytics, ML workloads, data products, or large-scale analytics platforms
