Senior Technical Artist, Unreal Engine 5
Lead technical art for open-world UE5 projects at SkyBox Labs, optimizing performance and building procedural pipelines, editor tools, and workflows for art teams.
विवरण
- Set content creation standards for large open-world environments in UE5
- Profile performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize geometry, materials, and streaming
- Build and support procedural environment systems with PCG, Blueprints, and Houdini
- Create terrain workflows, road and spline tools, and automated asset placement systems
- Develop Unreal Engine editor tools, utility widgets, actor workflows, and other automation
- Help level artists and environment teams iterate faster and work more efficiently
- Guide the art team and provide day-to-day technical direction
- Document workflows and define technical standards
- Work across disciplines to clarify requirements and balance artistic goals with engine performance
- Deliver dependable technical solutions within an active codebase
आवश्यकताएँ
- Bring 7 or more years of professional game development experience in technical art or environment art
- Have contributed to at least one major AAA title that has shipped
- Demonstrate hands-on expertise with Unreal Engine 5, Houdini, and Unreal's PCG framework
- Have optimized complex UE5 environments and built content pipelines that balance visual quality with runtime performance goals
- Have developed editor utility tools, custom editor interfaces, and automated workflows in Unreal Engine
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with others
- Guide artists and explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Work independently on broad, open-ended challenges
- Bring a strong eye for visual quality and aesthetics
- Be legally eligible to work in Canada and currently reside there, or be willing to relocate to Canada
- Additional assets include programming or scripting experience in Blueprints, Python, HLSL, or C++, or technical experience in graphics and lighting, character pipelines, animation systems, or VFX
