Mid-Level DevOps Engineer in Mexico (Remote)
Join Thomson Reuters as a mid-level DevOps Engineer supporting cloud infrastructure, Imagen deployments, automation, and customer delivery in Mexico. The role focuses on service operability, incident reduction, and production support.
Tavsif
- Deploy and configure cloud infrastructure and install the Imagen solution for customer projects
- Configure ImagenWeb with platform editing tools to meet customer-specific needs
- Create and execute tailored data-migration processes
- Build scripts and automation that improve delivery and content-onboarding workflows
- Prepare services for go-live by implementing monitoring, alerting, logging, documentation, runbooks, and handover processes
- Reduce incident rates through root-cause analysis, problem management, and automation
- Partner with first-line operations and technical support to accelerate service recovery and resolve customer issues
- Maintain or enhance service levels during changes and service transitions
- Engage with customers through meetings, email, phone, and conference calls
- Take part in weekly internal planning meetings and propose project ideas
- Track cloud technology developments and recommend improvements to working practices
- Apply operational standards, procedures, and established best practices
- Provide on-call or out-of-hours support when required
Talablar
- Experience with cloud platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Lambda, and Function Apps
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions
- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting proprietary software
- Proficiency with Python or Windows PowerShell scripting
- Experience working with SQL
- Strong knowledge of networking standards and protocols
- Experience with current Windows Server operating systems and troubleshooting diverse IT issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Clear communication skills for presenting ideas and solutions to internal and external stakeholders
- Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to deliver accurate customer deployments that meet satisfaction standards
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Preferred: 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or technical operations
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools
- Exposure to ITIL-style incident, problem, and change management practices
- Experience with media, broadcast, or video workflows
- Working knowledge of HTML, PHP, and CSS
- Understanding of XML and XSL transformations
- Relevant certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer, AWS, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or ITIL 4
- Preferred: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
