Senior Category Manager, Global Sourcing (India Remote)

Lead global sourcing, supplier management, negotiations, and cost reduction for Littelfuse’s electrical technology manufacturing operations. This full-time remote role is based in India.

Descriere

  • Own categories including molding, rubber, resin, silver contacts, and fasteners.
  • Manage materials categories used across all EII facilities worldwide.
  • Define category strategies and maintain the approved vendor list (AVL).
  • Direct sourcing activities, commercial negotiations, and requests for quotation (RFQs).
  • Manage suppliers through multisourcing, rebalancing, consolidation, and cost-model development.
  • Support supplier development and negotiations for additional global categories in the region.
  • Partner across functions to apply category strategies throughout product lines.
  • Consolidate and renationalize the global supplier base while shifting spend and allocations to strategic suppliers.
  • Oversee supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and service.
  • Hold regular business reviews with strategic suppliers and lead corrective actions for underperformance.
  • Create and deliver annual cost-reduction plans covering VeVa projects, CoS, negotiations, and cost-model implementation.
  • Partner with engineering to deliver cost-saving initiatives on schedule.
  • Negotiate payment terms to maintain competitive days payable outstanding (DPO).
  • Coordinate with category managers in other regions to support or lead negotiations, identify suppliers, and develop new sources.
  • Track industry trends, regulations, performance, market conditions, competitors, and market intelligence.
  • Share market intelligence and industry insights with cross-functional teams.

Cerințe

  • More than 10 years of procurement experience, with a focus on category management.
  • More than 10 years of experience with manufactured products; industrial end markets are preferred.
  • Experience building strong, mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze multiple data sets and produce concise, actionable insights.
  • Expertise in sourcing processes, contracting, and negotiation.
  • Ability to conduct in-depth data analysis and present findings clearly.
  • Experience developing category strategies using frameworks such as Porter’s Five Forces, SWOT analysis, and the AT Kearney Chessboard.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with peers.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong self-management and initiative.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and comparable tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Project management capability.
  • Knowledge of cost modeling.
