Descriere

  • Set strategy and guide the assigned U.S. Field Medical Team.
  • Advance U.S. medical and business objectives in immunology.
  • Develop field initiatives with Clinical Development and the integrated U.S. Brand team.
  • Coordinate and improve materials and communications for field activities.
  • Shape team leadership and help define the therapeutic field medical team’s vision.
  • Align field medical strategy with the therapeutic area.
  • Build a productive workplace and positive team culture.
  • Co-develop scientific support strategies and execution plans for marketed products and pipeline processes.
  • Assess and prioritize clinical and market trends, scientific data gaps, and field materials.
  • Lead team training and ensure clinical, business, regulatory, guideline, and scientific proficiency.
  • Engage Commercial, HEOR, Global Medical Information, Healthcare Solutions, and other stakeholders.
  • Work with Field Medical Leads across AbbVie to standardize and strengthen field medical teams.
  • Find ways to align global MSL clinical resources and improve efficiency.
  • Manage the operating budget and direct resources to meet U.S. Medical Affairs needs.
  • Set expectations for field medical asset and study leads.
  • Prioritize MSL contributions to clinical programs and inform scientific platforms and strategic business decisions.
  • Maintain regulatory and compliance expertise and accountability.
  • Direct MSL resources toward business and clinical strategies while managing risk to AbbVie.

Cerințe

  • A bachelor’s degree in health sciences from an accredited university is required.
  • An advanced degree in a relevant scientific field is required.
  • A doctorate in a health science or clinical field is strongly preferred.
  • At least five years of direct people management experience is required.
  • At least five years of industry experience, including demonstrated leadership success at a pharmaceutical or biotech company, is required.
  • Substantial industry experience in the relevant therapeutic area is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, strategic, tactical, and visionary capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and competitive challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively on cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced analytical, conceptual, and administrative skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency with standard computer technology, integrated business software, word processing, spreadsheets, and common applications.
  • Ability to influence and lead without formal authority.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of people management, including recruiting, hiring, progressive discipline, coaching, and motivation.
  • Availability to travel 25% of the time.
