Junior AI/ML Engineer, GenAI and AWS – Remote Ukraine
Join Provectus as a junior AI/ML engineer developing RAG systems, AI services, and AWS deployments. You will contribute to evaluations, APIs, and production delivery while working under senior guidance.
Descriere
- Develop RAG system components with senior guidance while building increasing independence
- Create tests and contribute to evaluation harnesses
- Deliver production code across AI applications, backend services, and data pipelines
- Connect AI capabilities to backend services and REST APIs
- Help deploy containerized applications to AWS through CI/CD pipelines
- Prepare documentation, runbooks, and materials for client handover
- Contribute to engineering discussions and architecture decisions
- Evaluate models, investigate failure modes, and help improve system performance
- Gradually take ownership of components and related technical decisions
Cerințe
- Take initiative, work independently, and seek clarity instead of waiting for assigned tickets
- Communicate clearly and apply strong problem-solving skills
- Work effectively with some ambiguity while receiving support from senior engineers
- Have B2+ English proficiency and collaborate comfortably with distributed, multicultural teams
- Bring hands-on experience building or contributing to RAG systems, preferably in production or near-production environments
- Demonstrate sound engineering fundamentals and proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript
- Become productive in unfamiliar codebases with reasonable onboarding support
- Have practical AWS experience with services such as Lambda, S3, or ECS
- Be prepared to develop expertise in Amazon Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore
- Have project experience with containers and CI/CD
- Understand the evaluation of non-deterministic systems and iterative testing cycles
- Have basic working knowledge of model and agent monitoring
- Recognize cost and latency trade-offs in LLM-based systems
- Have used LLM APIs such as Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, or OpenAI in real projects
- Have at least two years of software or ML engineering experience, including exposure to production systems
- Have solid AI/ML fundamentals and an understanding of common model failure modes
