Institutional Fund Accounting Analyst - Chicago Onsite
Northern Trust is seeking a fund accounting analyst to value and reconcile retirement plan investments in an onsite Chicago role. Responsibilities include daily NAV calculations, exception resolution, and client reporting.
Descriere
- Calculate daily Net Asset Value (NAV) for defined contribution and defined benefit plans
- Evaluate and reconcile mutual, separately managed, commingled, and collective funds, often against benchmarks, for daily valuation
- Assess how transactions, income positions, accruals, and corporate actions affect portfolio investment options
- Audit and resolve exceptions for assigned accounts in line with procedures and established deadlines
- Support the timely preparation of monthly and annual reports and financial statements under generally accepted accounting principles and performance standards
- Document and address partner and client inquiries while resolving account-related exceptions
- Perform daily fund valuations
- Prepare annual client portfolio and Form 5500 reports
- Work independently and escalate complex issues to supervisors or subject-matter experts
Cerințe
- Basic knowledge of accounting, finance, and securities gained through business coursework or related experience
- Analytical and organizational ability to research and resolve inquiries within set timelines and meet client deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to learn quickly, perform accurately in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
- Strong Excel skills; familiarity with Microsoft Power suite applications is advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred, or relevant experience in fund accounting or mutual fund accounting
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship
