Senior EMEA Product and Business Development Manager, Food Ingredients

Lead product and business development for an international food ingredients distributor across EMEA. Build principal relationships, support sales managers in 40 countries, and grow B2B business in oils, fats, cocoa, and other food ingredients.

Aprašymas

  • Develop assigned principal groups and the broader ingredients portfolio.
  • Connect principals with Sales Managers across 40 countries.
  • Set strategic priorities and create value in the market.
  • Serve as the main contact for principals on strategic and company-wide matters.
  • Drive principal objectives and share updates on opportunities, projects, activities, sales data, and market research.
  • Advise and coach Sales Managers on strategic issues.
  • Share principal updates, arrange training, review quarterly plans, and assess market trends and customer plans.
  • Promote effective use of reporting and monitoring tools, CRM systems, and laboratories.
  • Provide technical guidance, negotiate prices with principals, and join customer visits to support daily business.
  • Recruit and train Sales Managers in partnership with Country Managers.
  • Track emerging market trends and develop tools to monitor them.
  • Collaborate with principals, Sales Managers, and internal application centers and laboratories.
  • Review the portfolio and identify potential new principals as needed.
  • Coordinate with the Board to develop reporting systems, central stock and sampling, technical services, and laboratories.
  • Report to the Chief Sales Officer.
  • Provide functional leadership to Sales Managers.
  • Directly manage the Supplier Service Manager.
  • Start as an application technologist in the laboratory, then move into the new role with training from the current role holder.

Reikalavimai

  • University degree in food technology.
  • At least 10 years of experience in food ingredients.
  • Strong technical application knowledge across food segments and categories.
  • Sales background, preferably in multicultural markets, mainly across EMEA.
  • Experience with a distributor or food ingredients producer managing food ingredients distributors.
  • B2B food ingredients sales experience; FMCG experience does not meet this requirement.
  • Strong communication, initiative, analytical thinking, supportive approach, and commitment to selling value-added ingredient specialties.
  • Management, leadership, and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent English.
  • Willingness to travel at least 30% of the time.
