  • Lead the Certification & Safety application maintenance and development team
  • Guide, support, mentor, coach, and create development opportunities for team members
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and set delivery timelines
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Ensure teams follow software development best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, stakeholders, regulators, peers, partners, direct reports, vendors, and contractors
  • Deliver software solutions on schedule while meeting service level agreements
  • Oversee the team budget and financial plan
  • Coordinate with business teams, project managers, and IT support to integrate software with existing systems and processes
  • Identify, recruit, develop, engage, and retain team talent
  • Work with global teams to define future-state operations, deliver enterprise solutions, stabilize and retire aging applications, improve existing solutions, and plan future applications and technologies
  • Support certification work for new commercial programs, strengthen the safety culture, and load operations-critical software onto aircraft before first flight and delivery

  • At least one year of leadership experience as a team leader, temporary manager, large-scale cross-functional project or program manager, or formal manager; Boeing’s internal “Exploring Leadership” course may also satisfy this requirement
  • More than 10 years of experience in information technology or technical support
  • At least five years working cross-functionally with employees at all business levels, from individual contributors through executive leadership
  • At least five years of software development experience in collaborative teams using agile principles, structured development processes, code reviews, and automated DevOps tools and processes
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with Agile Software Development and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Experience with DevSecOps and automation
  • Exposure to implementing AI solutions within existing engineering software solutions
  • Experience coaching and mentoring managers, leads, and individual contributors toward continuous learning and improvement
  • Experience in the aerospace industry
  • Successful candidates must complete the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements; a “U.S. Person” under 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required
  • The employer will not sponsor employment visa status
