  • Assist claim professionals with customer support and timely claim resolution
  • Represent the claim department in a customer service capacity
  • Triage and route calls while responding to claim status and payment inquiries
  • Maintain claim files, obtain reports and records, and review medical bills, mail, and wage statements
  • Prepare claim documentation for legal and medical review
  • Report and assign claims and transfer closed files to and from off-site storage
  • Receive, sort, scan, upload, and process inbound and outbound mail
  • Order, receive, and distribute supplies and equipment
  • Process claim payments, vendor invoices, attorney expenses, and medical processing fees
  • Record and process returned checks, voided checks, and credits
  • Create and review operational, line-of-business, and financial reports
  • Correct data discrepancies and record pending and completed work activities
  • Complete financial controls, reconciliations, assessments, and data entry
  • Handle additional duties as assigned

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of service-related work experience or a bachelor’s degree
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, email, web-enabled applications, and database software
  • Ability to analyze and compare information and evaluate alternative solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound judgment and effective decision-making ability
  • Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships
  • Ability to stay focused during ambiguity, change, or demanding conditions
  • Ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 20 pounds
