Workplace Assessment Consultant

Conduct confidential interviews, focus groups, and surveys for public agencies, then turn workplace data into practical recommendations for leaders.

Description

  • Develop assessment plans, interview protocols, focus group guides, and surveys.
  • Interview employees, supervisors, and leaders confidentially, and facilitate focus groups.
  • Analyze interview and survey data to surface patterns in communication, morale, leadership, and working conditions.
  • Examine relevant policies, complaint trends, turnover data, and organizational structure.
  • Prepare balanced findings and practical recommendations for agency leaders.
  • Present results and help leaders and employee groups plan next steps.
  • Contribute qualifications and past performance information to AlphaGov proposals when authorized to be named.
  • Agree on the scope, schedule, and fee before each engagement starts.
  • Work remotely on a project basis, with occasional client travel.

Requirements

  • Have experience leading workplace climate, culture, or organizational assessments, preferably in the public sector.
  • Be skilled at confidential interviews and facilitating focus groups on sensitive subjects.
  • Be able to analyze qualitative and survey data and write balanced, evidence-based reports.
  • Be comfortable working as a project-based 1099 consultant, primarily remotely with occasional on-site interviews.
  • Have a background in HR, employee relations, industrial-organizational psychology, or workplace investigations.
  • Experience with unionized workforces, public safety departments, or school system employees is relevant.
  • Hold an SHRM, IPMA-HR, or comparable professional credential.
