- Own the strategy and roadmap for a hub-and-spoke data architecture while aligning domain teams
- Lead development and maintenance of the core analytics layer in Toast’s enterprise data warehouse
- Define the vision for an AI-ready semantic layer that can extend across business domains and guide its delivery
- Hire, manage, coach, and develop analytics engineers through structured growth paths
- Collaborate with senior business, product, and engineering leaders to set data analytics priorities
- Represent EDS’s analytics strategy in cross-functional and executive forums
- Work with data engineering leadership to support platform scalability and architectural consistency
- Provide technical leadership, people management, mentorship, and career development to team members
Requirements
- Bring 8+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, and/or data engineering roles
- Have 2+ years of experience managing or formally leading analytics or data engineering teams
- Bring 5+ years of experience developing data modeling strategies at scale
- Have 4+ years of experience developing with dbt
- Understand the business needs that inform data modeling decisions
- Demonstrate advanced SQL proficiency, including query design and performance optimization
- Show a track record of influencing senior stakeholders and building alignment
- Work effectively in fast-paced environments with ambiguity
- Experience with Airflow is a plus
- Experience with Sigma, Hex, or other business intelligence dashboard tools is a plus
- Experience with cloud data warehouses, particularly Snowflake, is a plus
- Experience with Python is a plus
- Experience building or scaling a data or analytics engineering function is a plus
- Experience in a SaaS- or FinTech-focused enterprise is a plus
