Build large-scale telemetry, monitoring, and alerting systems for Salesforce’s AI CRM infrastructure. Automate network, storage, and server services using AI-first engineering practices.

Description

  • Design, build, and operate services that provide metrics, telemetry, and alerting for data center infrastructure
  • Automate services across storage, network, and server infrastructure
  • Enable infrastructure telemetry collection and improve its visibility and accessibility
  • Configure alerts to surface conditions requiring action
  • Deliver production-grade software with modern engineering methods and AI development tools
  • Design and coordinate complex systems that integrate AI agents into human workflows
  • Review human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance
  • Contribute system designs, constraints, and standards to the shared system context repository
  • Participate in an on-call rotation

Requirements

  • At least four years of experience supporting distributed-service codebases written in modern languages such as Clojure, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • Experience automating systems services and processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Established experience with source control such as Git and unit testing
  • Experience publishing and consuming REST APIs
  • Experience with Jenkins-based CI/CD
  • Knowledge of Red Hat Linux configuration, packages, services, daemons, shells, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with configuration automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and/or Chef
  • Experience working in fast-paced technical environments undergoing rapid growth and change
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Strong organization and efficient task prioritization with close attention to detail
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while coordinating multiple projects and responding to changing business and technical conditions
  • Demonstrated commitment to an AI-first engineering approach
  • Experience using development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor
  • Advanced prompt-engineering skills, including writing precise structured prompts and developing system context for reliable, secure, production-ready AI output
  • A related technical degree
  • Experience monitoring and alerting on network infrastructure in a high-availability, always-on data center
  • Experience monitoring and alerting on storage infrastructure in a high-availability, always-on data center
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Terraform, Helm, and Spinnaker
  • Strong network engineering knowledge covering SNMP, BGP, OSPF or ISIS, LAN switching, backbones, load balancers, and IPv4/IPv6 addressing and subnetting
  • Experience with HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/UDP, and application-protocol troubleshooting
  • Experience with application databases and document stores such as Elasticsearch and Cassandra
  • Experience writing systems automation in a high-level language such as Python
